Power and Distribution Transformer Gaskets |
|
|
According to transformer manufacturer requirements, our manufacturing techniques enable us to supply a wide range of products, from a large portfolio of materials.
Our production facilities are equipped to meet all requirements from moulding, cutting and slitting, to bespoke packaging, kit and prototype production. Supply procedures are developed to meet each customer's individual needs and systems.
The core range of transformer and distribution AMORIM cork rubber materials we have:
- TD1120 The market leader for transformer oils including Midel 7131, Rhodosil, Diala D, etc.
- TD1049 For most transformer oils at application temperatures
- TD7000 Silicone corkrubber for extreme temperatures
- TD7110 Developed specifically for vapour phase drying processes
- TD3510 EPDM corkrubber for SF6 gas
- TD1310 Newly developed "arctic grade" with a special nitrile binder for low temperature use

CorkRubber & Cork Products |
|
We use Amorim Composites, the world's leading manufacturer of industrial cork materials, WCL can now offer an extensive portfolio of cork-based products to complement its existing range of gaskets, seals and rubber mouldings.
|
Also we are offering rubber products in the full range of polymers, such as Nitrile, Neoprene, EPDM, Silicone, , PTFE, Klingerit, Presspan, Presboard and Bakalite, FKM Viton(-30/+230 C), NBR (-30 /+110 C ), HNBR (-30 /+150 C ), FVMQ 70 (-55 /+220 C ) fluorosilicone. |
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Natural Rubber(NR): It is advised to be used in the places which needs low temperature resistance and high flexibility. Since it has good elasticity, it is used in the production of vibration absorbers. Its disadvantage is that it does not have resistance against heat, oil, and ozone.
Ethylene-Propylene Rubber (EPDM): It has resistance against outdoor factors, ozone, water, salty water, and hydraulic brake oils. It is used in high voltage cables and door window gaskets. Its durability, its resistance against aging in heat and elasticity in low heat features are good. Its disadvantage is that it does not have resistance against aromatic oils, mineral oils and fuels.
Chloroprene(Neoprene) Rubber (CR): It has good resistance against flame, rupture, wearing out and tearing. It is used in spark plugs, conveyor belts and medium acids as seals. It has low resistance against oil.
Nitrile Rubber (NBR): It is the most widely used seal resistant against oil for general aims. It is used at the environments of oil, fuel and petroleum. Its low heat resistance is low.
Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber(HNBR): As well as having the specifications of standart nitrile rubber, it has better mechanical features and has a resistance of high heat.
Silicone Rubber(VMQ): It has a wide use due to its resistance against cold and hot and isolation feature. It is used in seals, oven stove gaskets and because it is suitable for food in kitchen tools and medical materials. Its mechanical features are bad. It is not resistant against tearing.
Fluorocarbon Rubber(FKM Viton): It has good resistance against high heat, gas conductivity and chemicals. It is resistant against acid, all types of grease and solvents. |

Rubber Sheets & Rubber Components |
Our standard range of rubber gasket joining available as rolls, sheets or cut parts.Gaskets and strip, plain or self-adhesive backed, are offered in any batch quantity. Hardness range between 40 and 80 shore, Rolls, sheets, cut parts or fabrications |

PTFE gaskets for sealing on transformers |
|
PTFE has properties which make it an excellent material for gasket applications including:
- Temperature range cryogenic - 260°C
- Resistant to almost all chemicals (pH range 0-14)
- Physiological safety - relevant for alimentary use
- No contamination of confined media
- Anti-stick surface
- Low abrasion coefficient
- FDA compliant
- Easy to cut
The main drawback of PTFE is its relatively poor mechanical strength, due to the absence of bonds or electrostatic forces between the molecular chains. This causes gaskets that are made from pure PTFE to be easily affected by plastic deformation, even at room temperatures (cold flow).
To overcome this problem, glass fibres, silica grains or Barium Sulphate can be added to PTFE to increase stability under compression. |
|
Rubber Mouldings |
|
produces rubber mouldings in a range of hardnesses from 30 shore to 90 shore (+/- shore tolerance applies). Special compounds and colours can be developed to suit customer requirements. approved materials in nitrile, neoprene, EPDM and natural rubber |
